Mindfulness

Mindfulness is about maintaining awareness of your mind, body, and surroundings in the present moment, noticing when your mind drifts into the past or rushes to the future, and bringing your focus back to the present moment. It is about learning to enjoy life in the here and now and connecting with one’s sense of self. When you are aware of what you are experiencing, you can make the choice to change or accept things as they are. Awareness and choice are key components of relapse prevention. PCS is committed to empowering individuals to stay on the path of recovery. For more information about the practice of mindfulness, attend a Re-PAC group or contact PCS for further information.
