Intensive Outpatient Therapy

Psychological Counseling Services, Ltd. is a group private practice that specializes in intensive outpatient treatment. The outpatient intensive process can be utilized to replace inpatient treatment in some cases. Intensives are a one to five week customized therapeutic program that integrates the skills and styles of the PCS professional staff to deliver a powerful balance of support and challenge. Clients see an average of six different therapists during the course of their intensive. The focus of treatment is always individualized and may range from issues as diverse as childhood trauma to offending behaviors. Therapy options, from individual to groups, are coordinated to maximize patient growth. Participation in testing and group work, both experiential and psycho-educational, is encouraged. In addition, treatment is focused on the emotional, cognitive, physical, spiritual, and relational dimensions of each individual to promote deeper healing and integration of healthy responses.

PCS Intensives

Intensives are designed as an adjunct therapy intended to enhance the ongoing work that happens between a client and his or her referring therapist, doctor, or pastor. The referring individual remains the primary treatment provider throughout the intensive experience.

A former intensive client wrote: “These two weeks have saved my life. For the first time in my life I am really me. No secrets from anyone. It is such a relief to have the burden of my past open to my wife and friends who are close to me. I have learned to communicate better and … Ralph Earle has taught me that I am good inside. Thanks.”
